Principle of operation
The MoistScan® MA-500HD online microwave moisture analyser is ideal for use on metalliferous minerals and heavy organic materials with high moisture content and thick bed depths. Materials include alumina, bauxite, nickel, zinc, lead and copper in mined ore and concentrate forms.
MoistScan MA 500HD Features
Th e MA-500HD fits to a standard belt conveyor such that the microwave transmitter is located below the belt and the detector is located above the material. This enables real time moisture determination of the material as it passes through the measurement zone.
The rugged C-frame configuration is supplied fully assembled and is easily installed. The control enclosure with the industrial touch screen interface can be mounted on the C-frame as standard. Alternatively, a remote mounting option is available on request, which allows the interface to be mounted further away from the C-frame installation, e.g. control room or electrical switch room.
The user-friendly interface puts the power of easy set up and maintenance in the hands of the operator, designed with simple-to-use menu’s. The MA-500HD also features built in data storage and communication capabilities enabling technical support via remote access for diagnostic purposes and periodic calibration verification. In addition, sending and receiving plant data has never been easier with a host of industry standard protocols to choose from.
